Parish Groups

A number of groups meet regularly in the parish. Among them are:

Catholic Women’s League

Meets in the Annexe every second Thursday at 12 noon. Catholic Women’s League is a worldwide movement. CWL Hayes is formed of ladies of the parish who come together to support the parish priest and parish and each other, also to build community. At every session, we recite the Rosary and prayers. We provide a hunger lunch of homemade soup during Lent, a summer lunch in June and a Ploughman’s lunch in November. On Mother’s Day, we make and sell cakes. Members make tea/coffee and provide refreshments for First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and other parish events. All events CWL put on are to raise awareness and funds for charities. At the meetings we discuss which charities we would like to support, listen to invited speakers on different subjects, and plan ahead for future events.

St Vincent de Paul Society

SVP is a worldwide organisation supporting food, clothing, teaching and educational projects, as well as giving money for disaster relief. The parish group meets regularly. It supports ACE of Clubs, a homeless day centre in Clapham, and collects food and clothing which are delivered weekly. It funds its work through the SVP 100 Club monthly draw. It also organises an annual quiet day, with extra places open to the parish.

Tuesday (Over 60s) Lunch Club (SUSPENDED AT PRESENT)

Meets in the Annexe. The aim is to give those, of a certain age in our parish, a time to enjoy a meal together, chat, build friendships, and exchange news and cares. A small donation towards the cost of the meal is asked, but more important is the coming together with others from the parish.

Other Groups who meet here:

A range of other groups also meet in the church annexe.
