International BBQ

Our ever-popular annual parish barbecue was held on Sunday 20 July 2025. This year’s barbecue had an international theme. Parishioners were encouraged to wear their national dress!

Earlier on Sunday morning, the 10 am Mass also marked International Day. Parishioners read prayers in their own language.

Fr Mark writes:

The Parish 2025 Summer BBQ and International Day celebration was a huge success. I am sincerely grateful to our wonderful parishioners and families for all your overwhelming support, cooperation and teamwork. A big thank you to Sharon our lead and her team members for their dedication and sacrifices in achieving this noble task for the parish. We are proud to be one family in love and sharing together as a family of God’s people.

The proceeds from the occasion amounted to:
Tickets, raffles, bottles – £451
Donation from the Catholic Women of Cameroon (The
Blue ladies) – £300
Donation from Lady Knights of Marshall, Ghana – £60
Total – £811 (To the Parish account)
May the good Lord continue to bless our unity and love. Amen

Ever popular were the raffle and the famous bottle game. Our former parish priest, Fr Gregory (in white shirt), won the bottle of whiskey (on the 30th anniversary of his ordination!) …

Spirits were not dampened by a little rain…
