Fr Mark Binang was inducted as parish priest of Our Lady of the Rosary at a special Mass on Sunday 17 November 2024. The service was led by Canon Victor Darlington, Episcopal Vicar of the South East Area of Southwark Archdiocese.
The Church was full for the service, with the parish welcoming many members of parishes where Fr Mark has served earlier.
Fr Mark made the Profession of Faith, kneeling before Canon Victor and placing his right hand on the Book of the Gospels. Both then signed the Profession of Faith at the altar.
“It is the duty of the priest to proclaim the word of God,” Canon Victor told Fr Mark. “He must study the Bible and meditate on its message; believe what he reads; teach what he believes and practise what he teaches.”
