Advent Carol Service, Sunday 15 December 2024

Many parishioners and friends joined us for this parish celebration on the afternoon of 15 December as we prepare for Christmas. All listened to the readings and sang the many traditional carols.

Afterwards we all enjoyed mince pies, cakes, tea, coffee and more in the Annexe.

The raffle – an array of splendid hampers – raised more than £750 for parish funds, with many worthy winners (Fr Mark won the second prize!).

Fr Mark writes: “My personal thanks to everyone who came along to our Carol Service. I would especially like to thank all those in our Parish community who helped make this possible – our Organist Angela who put the programme of music together, Choir, readers, and everyone who helped behind the scenes decorating our church and annexe and served the festive food and refreshments we all enjoyed afterwards.

“While our Carol Service was first and foremost about our coming together as a Parish community, thanks to your generous support of our Christmas raffle it has also benefitted our Church funds, raising just over £750.”
