Fr Gregory will continue to offer daily and Sunday Mass in our parish throughout the Coronavirus outbreak, but without the faithful being present.
While public Masses are suspended, various resources are available online to help you continue to pray at home.
The Archbishop encourages ‘every Catholic – individuals, couples and families – to create, if there is not one already present, a simple shrine in their home, with a crucifix and religious images, to provide a focus until that blessed day when we are able to gather in our churches once more.’
Daily Readings at Mass
You can find the readings for Mass each day (from Universalis) here.
The Wednesday Word, a prayerful guide to readings for next Sunday Mass, can be found here.
Lent daily Reflections
Over the weeks of Lent the Archdiocese of Southwark’s Stewardship Team, in collaboration with the diocesan Spirituality Commission, e-mails daily reflections featuring thoughts, Scripture and prayer. If you would like to receive these, please sign up here.
The Diocese shares daily readings, Gospel passages and reflections on the Diocesan Facebook page and highlights various resources, opportunities and news about life in the Diocese on Twitter and Instagram. A prayer to say when we are unable to attend Mass
O holy angel at my side
Go to the church for me
Kneel in my place at Holy Mass
Where I desire to be
At offertory, in my stead
Take all I am and own
And place it as a sacrifice
Upon the altar throne
At holy consecration bell
Adore with seraph’s love
My Jesus hidden in the Host
Come down from Heaven above
Then pray for those I dearly love
And those who cause me grief
That Jesus’ Blood may cleanse all hearts
and suffering souls relieve
And when the priest Communion takes
Oh , bring my Lord to me
That His sweet Heart may rest on mine
And I His temple be
Pray that this Sacrifice Divine
May mankind’s sins efface
Then bring me Jesus’ blessing home
The pledge of every grace
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen
